KASUNAYAN DREAMS

Bai Kasunayan’s Personal Vision & Mission Statement

Vision
I envision a world where peace with justice is experienced in daily life — where communities, especially the marginalized, flourish in dignity, abundance, and hope through the Creator’s love, the wisdom of our ancestors, and the strength of women’s leadership.

Mission
I am called to embody peace by:

  • leading with compassion and integrity in building sustainable enterprises that honor both people and the land,
  • walking alongside Indigenous and marginalized communities, amplifying their voices and ensuring their full participation in development,
  • cultivating spaces of reconciliation where women and men can flourish as equals in home, community, and society,
  • mentoring leaders, especially women, to engage business and governance with justice-based values,
  • and living out the Creator’s vision of shalom by integrating spiritual depth, relational wholeness, and economic sustainability.

Dreams

Peace and Justice are Concrete. I envision a world where peace with justice is not an abstract concept but a lived reality — where communities, especially the marginalized, flourish in dignity, abundance, and hope. This vision is rooted in the Creator’s love, guided by the wisdom of our ancestors, and strengthened by the transformative power of women’s leadership.

Peace and Justice are Inseparable. For me, peace is inseparable from justice. It is not merely the absence of war or conflict, but the presence of fairness, equity, and respect woven into the structures of daily life. It is when farmers are paid fairly for their harvests, when women are empowered to lead without fear, when Indigenous peoples are honored as custodians of the land, and when every child grows up with hope for a future of dignity.

Inherent Inclusion of Women Leaders. I believe that women, with the strength of compassion, resilience, and vision, hold a vital role in shaping this world of peace with justice. Women’s leadership is not about exclusion but inclusion — bringing balance, wisdom, and nurturing power into spaces where decisions affect the whole of society.

Leading with Compassion and Integrity. I seek to lead in ways that honor both people and the land. Through building sustainable enterprises, I believe in creating models of economic life that are fair, ethical, and life-giving. Leadership, for me, is not about accumulation of wealth or power, but about stewarding resources for the common good.

Walking Alongside Indigenous and Marginalized Communities. True peace requires listening to and standing with those whose voices are often silenced. I am committed to walking alongside Indigenous peoples and marginalized communities, amplifying their voices and ensuring their full participation in development. Their wisdom and resilience are not just to be acknowledged but celebrated and integrated into the future we are building together.

Cultivating Spaces of Reconciliation. I envision families, communities, and societies where women and men flourish as equals. Reconciliation means more than ending conflict; it means creating environments where relationships are healed, trust is restored, and equality is normalized. I seek to cultivate these spaces — whether in homes, workplaces, or communities — where respect and partnership thrive.

Mentoring Leaders for Justice-Based Governance. I believe leadership is not about titles but about influence rooted in values. I am especially called to mentor women and young leaders to engage in business and governance with justice at the center. By equipping them with both vision and practical tools, I hope to see leaders emerge who serve with integrity, humility, and courage.

A Life Commitment

This vision and mission are not goals to be achieved in my lifetime alone. They are lifelong commitments that flow into the lives of those I serve, mentor, and walk alongside. My prayer is that every act of compassion, every enterprise rooted in justice, and every step toward reconciliation will plant seeds of peace that will continue to grow beyond me.

I live with hope that through the Creator’s love, the wisdom of our ancestors, and the rising strength of women’s leadership, we will see communities — once marginalized and forgotten — flourish in dignity, abundance, and hope. This is my vision. This is my mission. This is my life’s covenant of peace with justice.
