PHILIPPINE CENTER

COFFEE FOR PEACE IS OUR HOME IN THE PHILIPPINES

Unit 6105, One Oasis Building, Ecowest Drive, Davao City 8000

Our Philippine home is located at Coffee for Peace Café, One Oasis, Davao City — a space where peacebuilding, creativity, and community flourish together. From here, we live out the shared vision of Waves and Coffee for Peace: to nurture peace with justice through relationships that honor both people and creation. This café is not merely a business; it is a home where every cup of coffee tells a story of dignity, reconciliation, and hope. The beans we serve come from Indigenous and settler farmers across Mindanao, representing partnerships rooted in fairness and sustainability. Within these walls, ideas are born, relationships are healed, and communities are strengthened. This office embodies our philosophy of harmony — with the Creator, with ourselves, with others, and with creation. It is here, in Davao City, that our daily work becomes a living expression of love, justice, and peace.

A Shared Home for Peace and Justice

Our Philippine office is nestled within Coffee for Peace Café, at Unit 6105, One Oasis Building, Ecowest Drive, Davao City 8000. This place is more than a workspace — it is our shared home of peacebuilding, creativity, and community. Here, every cup of coffee, every meeting, and every conversation becomes an act of hope.

As we sit together with friends, partners, and new visitors, we are reminded that peace begins in relationships — and that relationships grow best in spaces that honor both people and creation.

The Spirit of the Place

When we founded Coffee for Peace, we dreamed of a place where business, spirituality, and social transformation could flow together. Over time, this café has become exactly that — a space where farmers, peacebuilders, artists, and young leaders gather to imagine a better future.

The aroma of locally roasted coffee greets everyone who walks in. The beans are grown by our Indigenous and settler farmer-partners from the highlands of Mindanao — each cup a story of dignity, resilience, and cooperation. The café’s atmosphere is relaxed and inclusive, inviting both reflection and conversation.

From this same space, our Waves Philippines Office operates — harmonizing our local peacebuilding programs, social enterprise networks, and global partnerships.

Shared Philosophies, One Calling

Waves and Coffee for Peace are two expressions of the same heartbeat. Both are led by us and both were born from the conviction that peace with justice must be lived out daily — in how we work, in how we relate, and in how we share resources.

  • Peace with Justice. For us, peace is not simply the absence of violence but the presence of fairness, truth, and compassion. Through Coffee for Peace, a significant portion of earnings is reinvested in Peace and Reconciliation (PAR) initiatives — community-based programs that promote healing, mediation, and inclusive dialogue across Mindanao.
  • Inclusive Development. We walk alongside Indigenous Peoples, Bangsamoro communities, and migrant farmers, empowering them to be key participants — not mere beneficiaries — of development. Through mentorship, training, and fair trade, we help ensure that their work translates into dignified livelihoods.
  • Harmony in Four Relationships. Both Waves and Coffee for Peace are rooted in the pursuit of harmony — with the Creator, with one’s being, with others, and with creation itself. This holistic vision shapes how we lead, how we organize, and how we live.
  • Integrity and Excellence. We believe that peace and quality are inseparable. Every cup of coffee we serve is traceable to the farmer who cultivated it with care. Every decision we make is grounded in honesty and accountability.
  • Mentoring and Multiplying Leaders. We are committed to mentoring the next generation of peacebuilders — young entrepreneurs, farmers, and civic leaders — who will carry the vision of just peace into the future.

A Story Rooted in Reconciliation

The story of Coffee for Peace began not in a boardroom, but around a small wooden table during a mediation between two neighbors in conflict — one migrant, one Bangsamoro. Over a shared cup of coffee, peace slowly took root. That moment became a seed for what we are now.

Since then, Coffee for Peace has evolved into a recognized social enterprise, bridging communities that were once divided. Its mission remains simple yet profound: to transform conflicts into opportunities for understanding, and to turn commerce into a tool for healing.

Living the Waves Philosophy

At our Davao home, we embody the same philosophy of peace and development that guides Waves globally — a way of life that integrates spirituality, sustainability, and justice. Our teams here reflect a balance of contemplation and action: moments of silence before meetings, laughter during coffee breaks, and sincere dialogue across differing perspectives.

Through partnerships, training, and enterprise incubation, our Philippine office has become a living laboratory for peace-centered innovation.

Honoring the Land, Honoring the People

Our office stands on Mindanao soil — sacred ground that has witnessed both pain and renewal. We acknowledge the Indigenous peoples who first cared for this land, and we commit to continue their legacy of stewardship and wisdom.

The coffee we serve is not just a product; it is a sacred trust from the earth. Every bean connects farmers, entrepreneurs, peacebuilders, and consumers into one ecosystem of care.

Our Ongoing Journey

From Davao City, our reach extends throughout the Philippines — from highland communities in Bukidnon and Mt. Apo to partnerships across the islands. Yet every project, every advocacy, every cup of coffee begins here — at One Oasis — with a prayer for peace, a commitment to justice, and a deep breath of gratitude.

As Waves and Coffee for Peace continue to grow together, we are learning that transformation flows best from humility, compassion, and daily practice. This is not a corporation. This is a family. A movement. A home.

Invitation to Walk with Us

We invite our partners, friends, and fellow peacebuilders to visit our Philippine home. Sit with us. Share stories. Listen to the voices of our farmer-partners and peace teams.

Every sip of coffee here is an invitation — to see peace not as an abstract dream, but as a lived experience, brewed slowly, shared freely, and sustained in community.

Here at Coffee for Peace, One Oasis, Davao City, we live out our shared calling as Waves — nurturing peace with justice, through love, work, and the power of relationships.
