Being betrayed is always a possibility in the process of building relationships. We get stabbed in the back. We get deeply wounded. We forgive. We seek justice but not through violence or vengeance. We seek healing. We continue to live in peace.
But then, we also say: “From now on, I’ll not allow the one who stabbed my back to watch my back again until my trust is built up again. Trust and trustworthiness are two sides of the coin we call relationship-building.”
